Job summary

Venture Solutions, a Taylor Company, in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Director of Operations to direct production, quality assurance and administration across the plant. The role focuses on achieving profit, growth and service goals while supporting the sales team.

The candidate will lead Production Managers and Shift Supervisors, drive Lean improvements, manage budgets, and develop preventive maintenance. U.S. citizenship and FISMA compliance required.

Qualifications

• BS in Business, Engineering, Printing Management or equivalent.
• 8+ years broad management experience in a print manufacturing plant.
• Experience with structure goal planning development and execution structure.
• Previous P&L experience, budgeting and metrics-based management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of CTO, NIBT, EBITDA, Operating Income, Revenue, Fixed and Variable Costs, etc.
• Strategic planning and strategic thinking skills, with demonstrated skills at writing implementable business plans.
• Excellent communication, change management and project management skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate employees.
• Ability to travel up to 10-20%.
• U.S. citizenship for background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control production, quality assurance, and administrative segments of the plant's operations.
• Attain profit, growth and market penetration objectives according to plan.
• Support the sales team to achieve service level agreements.
• Lead Production Managers and Shift Supervisors across multiple shifts.
• Drive quality and service improvements and cost containment.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for the facility and plant equipment.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, planning and scheduling.
• Provide monthly progress reports and financial reporting to Sr. Leadership.
