Description du poste

The Director, Operations is responsible for day-to-day operational oversight of a high-volume, 24/7 warehouse distribution center. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across the facility, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, staffing, and performance management. The Operations Director serves as the primary on-the-ground leader, partnering closely with the Operations Managers and General Manager and cross‑functional teams (Logistics, Quality, Supply Chain, Talent, Safety, and Finance) to deliver best‑in‑class service to internal and external customers.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Provide direct leadership and operational oversight for the distribution center, ensuring consistent processes, throughput, standards, and performance across sites. Own execution of daily, weekly, and monthly operating plans for receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch. Ensure adequate coverage and leadership presence for 24/7 operation, including nights and weekends, through effective scheduling and delegation.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leadership teams. Review and evaluate performance of all distribution center functions and direct reports, addressing performance gaps, and taking corrective action to ensure the managers of each functional area are delivering on operating goals. Set clear expectations, conduct regular performance check‑ins, and support annual performance review processes. Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations matters. Build a culture of accountability, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

SAFETY, COMPLIANCE & FACILITY STANDARDS

Champion a strong safety culture in both warehouses; ensure adherence to all company safety policies and applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA, Federal, State or other local governing entities). Conduct regular safety walks, audits, and incident reviews; ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked. Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to company standards (housekeeping, MHE, racking, dock doors, yard, etc.).

SERVICE, QUALITY & INVENTORY CONTROL

Ensure customer service targets (on-time, accuracy) are met or exceeded across the site. Oversee inventory control practices (cycle counts, reconciliations, root cause analysis of variances) and drive inventory accuracy. Monitor and improve picking accuracy, damage rates, load quality, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

STRATEGY

Develop short-term plans towards Red Bull’s continuous improvement goals for Cost, Quality, Accuracy, Turn time, Safety, and Environmental Consideration. Assist with strategy across relevant shared service and operations partners to best meet facility goals and priorities. Assist the General Manager with acting as the local liaison for internal partners.

PRODUCTIVITY, COST MANAGEMENT & KPIs

Develop best practices and efficiency recommendations for facility operations. Manage labor planning, staffing levels, and shift structures to match volume while controlling overtime and temporary labor usage. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for both facilities (safety, quality, productivity, throughput, cost per case, overall service). Identify and implement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize use of space, labor, and equipment. Accountable for overall site P&L financial performance.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION

Serve as the primary operational contact for internal partners (e.g., Transport, Supply Planning, Sales, Commercial, IT, Finance). Proactively communicate constraints, risks, and recovery plans related to service, capacity, or inventory. Support network‑wide initiatives, pilots, and system changes impacting the distribution center.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Drive standardization of processes and best practices across the site. Lead or support continuous improvement projects (e.g., layout optimization, slotting, WMS enhancements, automation/technology enablement). Oversee the training on new processes, policies, and technologies; ensure sustained adoption and compliance.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY & 24/7 READINESS

Ensure robust contingency plans are in place (weather events, system outages, equipment failures, staffing gaps). Coordinate with the General Manager on strategic capacity planning and long‑term infrastructure needs. Serve as escalation point for critical incidents outside of normal business hours.
