Job OverviewOversee the revenue cycle process from insurance verification to billing and collections, ensuring compliance
with federal and state regulations. Develop and implement strategies to minimize bad debt, enhance revenue
capture, and improve overall cash flow and profitability of the customer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Achieve operational goals and cashflow targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize bad debt, enhance revenue capture, and improve overall cash flow and profitability of the organization.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure accurate and timely documentation and coding of services for billing purposes.
- Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement within the revenue cycle process.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the revenue cycle team, setting performance standards and goals to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Implement patient-friendly billing policies and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and compliance with payment obligations.
- Responsible for all process activities performed for each client.
- Provides ongoing workforce and leadership development for the Operations team members.
- Provides direction to managers and staff relative to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as primary contact for service-facing issues, presentations, and communications with clients.
- Develops presentations and other required communication material for client-facing conversations.
- Manages vendor relationships, as necessary.
- Monitors KPI milestones to proactively resolve potential issues.
- Serves as SME for sales pursuits.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 8 years of direct experience in leadership of medical revenue cycle roles
- 5 years of experience managing physician and hospital PFS departments
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
- Experience with a wide variety of healthcare providers and provider service offerings
- Experience working with various healthcare professionals, such as clinicians, clerical, insurance company representative, executives, and line staff.
- Experience with managing remote/virtual working teams.
- 3 years of experience mentoring exempt and non-exempt staff.
