Job summary

Sunrise Systems is seeking an Operations Data Analyst in Oakland, CA for a 3-month W2 contract. The role focuses on technical analytics and BI capabilities including Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, data modeling, and related tools.

You will translate findings for leadership and ensure audit-ready data management and governance. The candidate should have a BA/BS degree and at least 2 years of experience, with strong Excel, SQL, and dashboarding skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with utility operations is a plus.
• MS Excel/Access with complex formulas, graphing, VBA.
• SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects; dashboarding with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard, routine data analysis projects from request to presenting data results.
• Create automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery.
• Transfer data from databases to analysts to support operational analysis.
• Analyze data with statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, trends and profiles.
• Develops and communicates clear, concise, actionable data analyses for clients.
