Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Crew Manager to lead a production team in a United States plant, overseeing daily targets and safety, and collaborating with Operations Management to improve efficiency. The role requires developing team members, ensuring GMP compliance, and maintaining high housekeeping in a 12-hour shift pattern (6:00–6:00).

Applicants should have at least 2 years in industrial manufacturing and a high school diploma or GED, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for team member safety.
• Oversee the completion of daily monitoring to include: safety/housekeeping checklists; process control conditions (temperature, pressure, level, etc); regulatory/compliance monitoring (air, water, SQF, GMP); and other monitoring as requested by Management.
• Oversee the execution of the daily production plan as provided by Chem Ops Management.
• Develop the skill set of team members.
• Ensure high housekeeping standards for production facility(s) are maintained.
• Assist warehouse personnel with packaging, raw material, and product movements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Must Haves

• 18 years of age or older.

• 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience.

What We Prefer You Have

• 2 years of industrial manufacturing supervisory experience

Our Environment

This position is based in our manufacturing plant environment. Expected exposure to wet, hot, cold, various shifts, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Constant (role requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)

Use of fingers and hands. Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less & push/pull 12 lbs or less.

Frequently (role requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)

Stand, climb stairs, walk, sit, reach outward, squat/kneel, bend. Lift/Carry 11-50 lbs & push/pull 13-40 lbs.

Occasional (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)

Climb & crawl. Lift/Carry 51+ lbs & push/pull 41-100 lbs.
