Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for set-up, breakdown, and changes for events, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks that often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing.
- Keep the facility in customer-ready (presentable) condition.
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events, such as setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, and retractable seating for banquets.
- Perform various duties to ensure day-to-day operations of the facility, including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas, and replenishing supplies.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, relamping, replacing ceiling tiles, and replacing filters.
- Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair, and maintenance of the building.
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to a supervisor.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance as an essential job function.
- Perform the ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of event set‑up and conversion practices, typical cleaning methods, and proper use and care of hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Follow all policies and procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
- Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing.
- Operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, scrubbing machines, or other light power‑driven equipment.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and produce accurate results.
- Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
- Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Kansas.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. One (1) to three (3) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Physical Demands
- Operate tools (both hand and electric), forklifts, scissor lifts, and walk around the facility; must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to hear and speak using a two‑way radio.
- Indoor/outdoor work required within seasonal temperatures, may be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
