The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an Operations Crew member for Baxter Arena to perform daily arena upkeep, help with events, and handle changeovers. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and a flexible schedule, including on-ice work.
Two pay rates exist: $15.00/hour for daily arena shifts and $18.00/hour for changeovers, with advancement to lead roles up to $20.00/hour. Hours vary and are not guaranteed, based on events and building needs.

Essential Functions
This position consists of daily arena upkeep tasks, events, and changeovers. The tasks require the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work a varied schedule.
Examples of daily arena duties include: painting, repairing broken items, moving furniture, etc.Examples of event setup include: placing tables and chairs throughout the arena, setting up barricades, placing signage. This position also works during events to assist with essential operations. In this position, we walk on the ice frequently. Examples of changeover duties include: setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, lighting, tables and other furnishings and equipment. This position works around light equipment and machines such as forklifts, lifts, loaders and cleaning equipment as needed.
This position has two pay rates. When working daily arena operations shifts, the rate is $15.00/hour. When working changeover shifts, the rate is $18.00/hour. Opportunity for advancement to lead roles available, rate ranges from $16.50/hour – $20.00/hour.
Hours are flexible and not guaranteed, shifts are scheduled based on events and building needs.
