Job summary

Bayer is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the Remington, IN facility. The role focuses on coordinating inventory management, procurement, payroll, vendor management, and work order maintenance to drive operational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of learning SAP/inventory systems, with responsibilities spanning production support and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure smooth site operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with delegated operational activities across areas like HSE, accounting, procurement, maintenance, HR, and more as directed by leadership.
• Participate in community outreach representing the site.
• Enter and validate information in computer/data systems.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of site employees.
• Review and process freight payments, bulk shipments and schedule deliveries under supervision.
• Follow payroll policies and perform audits to ensure adherence.
• Support site initiatives and Production System improvements.
• Maintain grower data in SAP and manage inbound/outbound trucking during Harvest.
• Process vendor payments through accounts payable.
• Support site expense management and expense reports for employees.
• Support Production Orders, inventory management and SAP data entry.
• Assist Payroll activities including timecard management.

Operations Coordinator

Crucial role in supporting the needs of site production operations, skilled at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and responsible for partnering at various levels of the organization to drive strategic and operational effectiveness. This Operations Coordinator will support the Remington, IN Facility by coordinating inventory management, procurement, payroll, contractor/vendor management, and work order maintenance planning. This role will support the maintenance and productions teams, End to End team, and externals partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and either experience in SAP/inventory management or willing to learn about the system.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist staff in operational activities pertaining to delegated area of expertise; including but not limited to HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, maintenance administration, and/or other areas defined by leadership;
• Participates in community outreach event(s) representing the site;
• Enters and validates information into computer/data systems;
• Assists with the onboarding/offboarding of site employees;
• With some supervision, reviews and processes freight payments, bulk shipments and schedule deliveries;
• Follows and communicates payroll policies and performs audits to ensure policies are adhered to;
• Supports site initiatives and Production System improvements;
• Assists with grower pricing, maintains contract/grower vendor data in SAP and inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations;
• Understands the site accounts payable process and completes payments to vendors;
• Supports the site expense management program and assists site employees with completion of expense reports;
• Supports with Production Orders, inventory management and SAP data entering;
• Support Payroll activities for site employees including schedule and timecard management.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment;
• Valid Driver’s License. To be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
• Organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail;
• Understanding of manufacturing and/or desire to learn agriculture operations;
• Strong customer focus;
• Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.;
• Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data;
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs;
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 3 years relevant experience manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment OR AA/BS degree with no relevant experience.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $51,600.00 - $77,400.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
