Job summary

Bayer is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support Remington, IN site production operations. You will coordinate inventory, procurement, payroll, contractor/vendor management, and work-order planning, collaborating with production and external partners.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and able to learn SAP inventory management. Relevant experience in manufacturing or agriculture operations, strong MS Office skills, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment.
• Valid Driver's License required; MVR screening.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritization with attention to detail.
• Understanding of manufacturing and/or agriculture operations; customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in operational activities across delegated areas (HSE, accounting, procurement, maintenance).
• Enter and validate information into computer/data systems.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding of site employees and payroll-related tasks.
• Process freight payments, shipments and schedule deliveries under supervision.
• Support payroll policies and perform audits to ensure compliance.
• Maintain SAP data for grower/vendor data and Production Orders; assist with invoicing.

This role will support the maintenance and productions teams, End to End team, and externals partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and either experience in SAP/inventory management or willing to learn about the system.**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Assist staff in operational activities pertaining to delegated area of expertise; including but not limited to HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, maintenance administration, and/or other areas defined by leadership;* Participates in community outreach event(s) representing the site;* Enters and validates information into computer/data systems;* Assists with the onboarding/offboarding of site employees;* With some supervision, reviews and processes freight payments, bulk shipments and schedule deliveries;* Follows and communicates payroll policies and performs audits to ensure policies are adhered to;* Supports site initiatives and Production System improvements;* Assists with grower pricing, maintains contract/grower vendor data in SAP and inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations;* Understands the site accounts payable process and completes payments to vendors;* Supports the site expense management program and assists site employees with completion of expense reports;* Supports with Production Orders, inventory management and SAP data entering;* Support Payroll activities for site employees including schedule and timecard management.**WHO YOU ARE**Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:**Required Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment;* Valid Driver's License. To be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers - MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);* Organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail;* Understanding of manufacturing and/or desire to learn agriculture operations;* Strong customer focus;* Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.;* Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data;* Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs;* Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner.**Preferred Qualifications:*** High School Diploma plus 3 years relevant experience manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment OR AA/BS degree with no relevant experience.Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $51,600.00 - $77,400.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).
