Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Operations Associate to support branch operations, manage inventory, and coordinate with Purchasing and Customer teams to keep material flow efficient.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with BUS and Excel, and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include dispatching drivers, loading/unloading, and ensuring cost-effective transportation while maintaining safety and compliance.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Operations Manager to keep department running smoothly.
  • Create/receive orders in BUS and verify costs and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and KAC to update codes, batches, SDS, COA.
  • Dispatch drivers and carriers; assign trailers and ensure cost-effective transport.
  • Operate forklift and spotter truck; load/unload; work in elevated areas.
  • Raise supply/demand issues to aid resolution and represent Brenntag Pacific.

Job description

Your Role
Responsibilities
  • Support Branch Operations Manager as necessary to keep the department running smoothly. This may include such diverse tasks as batch generation, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, inventory management, production prioritization and communication with customers.

  • Create and receive orders in the BUS for designated raw materials. Verify product, freight costs and delivery date.

  • Work with Purchasing and Key Account Coordinator to ensure Product codes, Batches, SDS and COA information is updated and ready to use when necessary.

  • Dispatch Brenntag drivers and preferred carriers to arrange for pick-ups and deliveries when necessary. Assign trailers for loading and deliveries with correct products and quantities as specified by customers. Ensure the use of most cost-effective methods of transportation when timing permits.

  • Operating a forklift & spotter truck

  • Loading and unloading trucks

  • Working in high/elevated areas

  • Offloading rail cars & connecting/disconnecting rail cars

  • Elevate supply and demand issues when appropriate to the Branch Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor to assist in the resolution of issues.

  • Represent Brenntag Pacific in a professional manner.

  • Observe, follow, and enforce all Brenntag Pacific Policies and Procedures.

  • Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.

  • Any other production & warehouse duties required

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Your Profile
Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, and two years related experience and/or training. Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university is a plus.

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the BUS computer system.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

  • Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Possess excellent written/oral communication skills.

  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
