Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Operations Associate in Connecticut to support branch activities and ensure smooth workflow.

You will manage orders in the BUS system, verify costs and delivery dates, operate a forklift, load/unload trucks, and coordinate with Purchasing and customer service. Strong Excel skills, reading/writing English, and reliability are essential; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; two years related experience or training.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Proficient knowledge of BUS computer system.
  • Strong Excel skills and organizational ability.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Operations Manager to keep the department running smoothly, including batch generation, spreadsheet maintenance, inventory, and customer communication.
  • Create and receive orders in the BUS for designated raw materials and verify product, freight costs and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Key Account Coordinator on Product codes, Batches, SDS and COA information.
  • Dispatch Brenntag drivers and preferred carriers; assign trailers for loading and deliveries.
  • Ensure cost-effective transportation methods and operate forklift & spotter truck.
  • Observe Brenntag Pacific Policies and Procedures and attend required training.

Your RoleResponsibilitiesSupport Branch Operations Manager as necessary to keep the department running smoothly. This may include such diverse tasks as batch generation, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, inventory management, production prioritization and communication with customers.Create and receive orders in the BUS for designated raw materials. Verify product, freight costs and delivery date.Work with Purchasing and Key Account Coordinator to ensure Product codes, Batches, SDS and COA information is updated and ready to use when necessary.Dispatch Brenntag drivers and preferred carriers to arrange for pick-ups and deliveries when necessary. Assign trailers for loading and deliveries with correct products and quantities as specified by customers.
