The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Senior Operations professional to manage day-to-day operations for the Adult Clinical Teams and drive business, operational, and clinical projects. You will coordinate scheduling, purchasing, credentialing, and related support services across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes independence, analytical skills, and leadership in implementing department strategies with the People Operations team and senior leadership.

Job Summary

Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.Work is performed fully independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations for the Adult Clinical Teams across all clinical locations, including the QGenda scheduling system, call schedules, incentivized shifts, FMLA requests, and FTE changes.
  • Partner with Administrative Assistant IIIs and the Adult Clinical Program Manager to ensure purchasing, reimbursements, credentialing, and related support services are completed accurately and on time.
  • Plan, implement, and execute business, operational, and clinical projects for APP and Departmental leadership, developing processes to track and report progress and outcomes.
  • Serve as project lead for APP Team initiatives, establishing project plans, coordinating stakeholders, and monitoring activities through completion.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain administrative policies, procedures, handbooks, and guidelines for the Adult APP Teams in collaboration with People Operations, Legal, and Risk Management.
  • Support the annual 360-degree evaluation process, driving continuous improvement in staff performance assessments.
  • Lead communication strategies and stakeholder coordination that promote collaboration and support the implementation of departmental strategies and goals across the Adult Clinical Teams.
Work Location:

Onsite to hybrid - This role is expected to work onsite initially for at least three months to train in the role and build and establish relationships and is located in Aurora, Colorado. After three months, and upon supervisor's determination, the role will be considered for a flexible hybrid work schedule. Following the CU Anschutz Chancellor's requirement for employees to be on campus a minimum of three days/week, the supervisor is responsible for determining the required number of on-campus days/week (three or greater) based on the position's level of focus work, collaboration needs, etc. The Department places a high value on building working relationships and collaboration.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of professional level experience supporting the operations of a program or team
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a healthcare clinic or medical field in an administrative capacity
  • Experience utilizing and/or managing complex scheduling systems such as QGenda
  • Experience working in higher education and/or academic medicine and in large settings
  • Experience with financial forecasting and/or analysis, budget analysis, and/or management concepts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong and effective presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $61,616 - $82,566.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
