Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.**WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:*** Support the Operations Manager to coordinate and monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.* Track inventory levels of manufacturing operations supplies for production; communicate shortages or delays to the Operations Manager.* Operations cycle counter and investigate discrepancies with Operations leadership.* Assist in planning and implementing operations improvements to increase efficiency to reduce waste.* Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and resource utilization for Daily Management System (DMS).* Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.* Verify and continuously update work instructions and training documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with current processes.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.* Serve as a point of contact for internal departments regarding productions status and priorities.* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies throughout the plant.* Additional duties as assigned.**YOU HAVE:*** **Academic background in:** + Associate degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent preferred.* **Previous experience in or with:** + Previous inventory control, materials handling, or manufacturing experience preferred.* **Skills:** + Basic reading, writing, and math skills. + Good communication skills both verbal and written, with customers, associates, and management personnel. + Computer skills, including data entry, retrieval, and Microsoft Office applications. + Multi-tasking, organizational, and exercising initiative skills. + Self-starter, strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Basic blueprint reading skills. + Measuring tool skills (Dial indicators, Micrometer, and Caliber). + Reliability and attendance skills.* **Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:** + Ability to work with a flexible schedule depending on business needs. + Ability to respond calmly and effectively to pressure. + Ability to work effectively in a TEAM environment. + Ability to lift 50 plus pounds; ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, pull, push, stand and squat.**WE HAVE:*** A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
