Job summary

Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School invites applications for an Operations & Community Coordinator within the Project on Workforce. Based at the Mossavar‑Rahmani Center in Cambridge, MA, you will support daily operations, manage events, and engage researchers, students, alumni, and partners.

This hybrid, 35-hour‑week role offers a one-year term with renewal and involves coordinating research projects, recruitment of student fellows, and collaboration with Harvard offices.

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and independence.
• Experience coordinating events or administrative processes.
• Interest in education or workforce development/public policy.

Responsibilities

• Operations, Administration & Events (50%): support financial administration, vendor relations, and scheduling; maintain systems; coordinate events; assist leadership.
• Project Coordination (25%): manage timelines, meetings, research assistants, and deliverables for 1–2 projects.
• Student & Community Engagement (25%): recruit and onboard research assistants and student fellows; support cross-Harvard programs and alumni outreach.

Education
