Verst Logistics in Hebron, KY is seeking an Inventory Control/Customer Service professional for a 2nd shift role. The position handles order processing, invoicing, and reports while maintaining strong customer relations and accuracy in inventory data.

The role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with SOX, SDS/Hazmat safety, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Automotive experience and Lean manufacturing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED, required.
  • Previous Inventory Control, Quality, or related experience, preferred.
  • Project driven and detail oriented attitude.
  • Previous experience in an Automotive Environment, preferred.
  • Previous experience with Continuous Improvement Plans and Lean Manufacturing Techniques, preferred.
  • Familiarity with SOX Compliance requirements, preferred.
  • Familiarity with SDS/Hazmat Safety, Preferred.
  • Willingness to learn internal customer service software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must be computer literate, ability to type 30wpm and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers by researching and responding to inquiries and issues concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc.
  • Process and input all customer orders into the computer system and generate related paperwork.
  • Ensure proper invoicing of customers by verifying invoices.
  • Act as liaison between warehouse and customer in administration of accounts and invoicing/collection concerns.
  • Maintain procedures manual detailing processing requirements for each account.
  • Report customer feedback to management in a timely manner.
  • Answer telephone calls and operate office machines/computers.
  • Create accurate and timely reports as requested by management or customers.
  • Maintain paperwork and prepare documents, such as bills of lading and shipping orders.
  • Use RF gun and update product quantities; use Yard Management System (YMS).
  • Dispatch drivers and maintain a driver check in/out log.
  • Batch and sort order pick tickets.
  • Provide on the job training for new hires.
  • Assist in accounts receivable collections with assigned customers.
  • Strive for continuous process improvement.
  • Perform cycle counts or inventory verification.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Description

2nd Shift- 2:00PM-10:30PM Hourly Rate: $20.50 + $1.00 Shift Differential

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain excellent working relationships with customers by researching and responding to all inquiries and issues concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc., in a courteous, professional and efficient manner.

2. Process and accurately input all customer orders into the computer system and generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer and warehouse purposes.

3. Ensure proper invoicing of customers by verifying computer generated invoices.

4. Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of accounts, and between the office and customer regarding invoicing and collection concerns.

5. Maintain a current and accurate procedures manual that details the processing requirements for each account.

6. Report customer feedback to management in a timely manner, including any signs or trends of customer dissatisfaction.

7. Answer telephone calls and operate various types of office machines and computers necessary to perform duties.

8. Create accurate and timely reports as requested by management or customers.

9. Maintain paperwork and prepare documents, such as bills of lading and shipping orders.

10.Use RF gun and/or complete proper forms as required to maintain and update product quantities.

11.Use of the Yard Management System (YMS).

12.Responsible for dispatching drivers and maintaining a driver check in/out log.

13.Responsible for batching and sorting order pick tickets.
