Job Description:

As an Operations Automation Engineer - Fabrication, you will support and guide all manual and robotic welding activities, focusing on costs, quality, safety compliance, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate has experience with robotic and manual welding, a solid understanding of welding fundamentals and theory, and proficiency with Microsoft O/S and related applications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Robotic welding programming experience
  • Extensive hands-on arc welding experience, especially with heavy plate welding using GMAW process, and a strong understanding of welding processes and metallurgy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with welders, operators, maintenance techs, and engineers in troubleshooting, training, and R&D activities
  • Experience in analyzing and implementing engineering changes through standard work instructions
  • Coordination of new machine introductions (NPI), process changes, and ensuring efficient, quality manufacturing aligned with APQP
  • Support manufacturing by providing tooling, processes, and equipment, including tool design, processing, cost estimation, and layout standards
Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Programming experience with ABB, Fanuc, and Cloos robots
  • Offline programming skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O/S and related applications
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Creo, and visualization software
  • CWI certification

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Decatur, IL. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel requirements are approximately 5%. Sponsorship is not available.

Salary Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00. Compensation varies based on multiple factors including experience, skills, location, and performance.
