Job summary

RBC in Minneapolis is seeking an Operations Associate III in the Mutual Funds team to work with mutual fund companies and financial advisors, ensuring timely processing of business and delivering superior service via phone, email, and systems.

You will verify data, handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. This role is salaried and based in our Minneapolis office.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent). Or High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of job related experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment with a high attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to think critically, process complex work, investigate and inquire
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills

Responsibilities

  • Research, respond to, and follow up as required to questions from other Operations departments, branch offices, Mutual Fund companies, and management staff
  • Accurately review, verify, and/or record data into technology supporting department processes. Understand department procedures, processes and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works. Refers to department manuals for instructions and task assignments for the specific role
  • Provide routine follow up to check on status of the mutual funds business from varying Mutual Funds companies
  • Reduce risk by suggesting process changes and modifications as appropriate
  • Act as a resource for other Operation’s team members

What will you do?
  • Research, respond to, and follow up as required to questions from other Operations departments, branch offices, Mutual Fund companies, and management staff

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 - $80,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
