Job summary

RBC in Minneapolis is seeking an Operations Associate II to support the Account Transfers team with data processing and customer service for complex Operations tasks. You will review and record data in systems, resolve escalations, and collaborate with other departments while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR High school diploma (or equivalent) AND 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to change, strong analytical skills to support researching, analyzing and solving problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate processing support for standardized and/or manual processes within a specific Operations department.
  • Accurately review, verify and/or record data into technology supporting department processes.
  • Liaise with other departments and external customers for research or information as needed.
  • Address escalated questions independently; seek guidance from Team Lead or Manager per procedures.
  • Suggest process changes to reduce risk and improve efficiency.

As an Operations Associate II, you will be the dedicated for the Account Transfers team. The primary purpose for this position is to provide processing and customer service support for exception-based complex Operation’s processes. You will review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting department processes. What will you do?
  • Provide accurate processing support for standardized and/or manual processes within a specific Operations department. Accurately review, verify and/or record data into technology supporting department processes. Understand department procedures and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works. Refer to department manuals for instructions and task assignments for the specific role
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other Operation’s departments, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participants
  • Address escalated questions independently; seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department procedures
  • Reduce risk by suggesting process changes or modifications as appropriate
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR High school diploma (or equivalent) AND 3 years of job-related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to change, strong analytical skills required to support by researching, analyzing and solving problems
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment with a high attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Having Microsoft-based software product skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
Nice-to-have
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field
  • 1+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Previous experience in the securities, banking or finance industry preferred

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $45,000 - $70,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
