Job summary

PowerLines is seeking an Operations Associate for a full-time contract through the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension. The role rewards a scrappy, proactive team player who can manage multiple high-impact workstreams in a dynamic, high-velocity nonprofit environment.

The ideal candidate will maintain shared systems, support team meetings, onboarding, HR coordination, and coordination of contracts, fundraising, events, and executive support.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of operations experience in nonprofit, advocacy, or startup settings.
• Get-things-done mentality and ability to multi-task.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to anticipate needs and handle sensitive matters discreetly.
• Thrives in dynamic, uncertain environments and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize shared team systems (Drive, directory, sites).
• Support weekly team meetings, agendas, and notes.
• Process reimbursements, receipts, and expenses.
• Provide operational and project support across PowerLines initiatives.
• Lead weekly close-outs and recap preparation.
• Assist onboarding of new team members.
• Coordinate with HR and track contracts/renewals.
• Support event planning, travel, and retreats.
