Job description

Gopuff is looking for Operations Associates (OAs) to join the operations team. Reporting directly to a Site Leader, OAs play an essential role at Gopuff, requiring drive, perseverance, positivity, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include picking, packing, receiving products within our site and kitchen (if applicable), and working with partner drivers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Pick and pack items for dispatch to customers.
  2. Receive and unpack pallets from vendors; ensure inventory matches purchase orders/invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Manage inventory, re-shelving canceled orders, and organizing the sales floor and facility.
  4. Manage waste and spoilage following FIFO practices.
  5. Contact customers for substitutions or out-of-stock items.
  6. Handle, scan, and move products safely and efficiently.
  7. Perform physical activities such as standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and walking during shifts.
  8. Use carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment to move products.
  9. Handle products that may contain tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol.
  10. Work periodically in freezer locations throughout shifts.
  11. Walk several flights of stairs as needed.
  12. Prepare quality beverages and food menu items, following recipes and presentation standards.
  13. Ensure accuracy in food and beverage packaging for delivery.
  14. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  15. Receive, put away orders/invoices, and resolve discrepancies related to expiration dates.
  16. Maintain kitchen organization and standards, managing resources while controlling waste and spoilage.
  17. Prepare, package, and stage/handoff orders.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Experience in restaurant or retail (preferred but not required).
  3. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including peak shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
  4. Basic knowledge of web-based applications (e.g., Google G-Suite).
  5. Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts.
  6. Lift up to 49 pounds.
  7. Availability for flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
