Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Senior Fund Operations professional in New York to design and run the operations platform for a multi-asset portfolio. The role emphasizes building scalable processes, reconciling complex trades, and partnering with PMs and tech to automate workflows.

Your experience in trade lifecycle, reconciliation, and data integrity will help manage onboarding, KYC/AML, and investor reporting. This is a full-time onsite opportunity based in New York.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of experience in fund operations, middle office, trade support, or accounting
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliation, and settlement
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to build and maintain operational models or reports
• High attention to detail with ownership and follow-through

Responsibilities

• Book, monitor, and reconcile trades across asset classes including aviation finance, consumer loan pools, direct lending, preferred equity, bank debt, and equity markets
• Support the derivatives trade lifecycle across swaps, interest rate swaps, and FX instruments, including confirmation, margin, and settlement
• Coordinate with portfolio managers, counterparties, trustees, and servicers on trade booking, confirmation, and settlement
• Maintain trade data integrity across the OMS, fund administrator, and custodians
• Manage KYC/AML documentation and onboarding records for counterparties, brokers, and investors
• Review daily position, cash, and NAV reconciliations; investigate and resolve breaks across illiquid and structured instruments
• Support month-end close and investor reporting
• Monitor daily cash and liquidity across fund accounts; coordinate on funding and capital calls
• Support portfolio managers with ad hoc analytics on deal performance, exposure, leverage, and return attribution
• Track covenant compliance, borrowing base calculations, and servicer reporting
• Partner with portfolio management and technology to build scalable workflows, data pipelines, and reporting infrastructure; drive automation

We're a rapidly growing alternative investment manager focused on Special Situations, with commitments across aviation finance, consumer loan pools, direct lending, preferred equity, bank debt, and equity capital markets. We're building a first-class operations platform from the ground up, and this hire will be a critical part of that effort. This is not a maintenance role — it's an opportunity to help design the processes and infrastructure that scale with the firm.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 5-12 years of experience in fund operations, middle office, trade support, or accounting with meaningful operational exposure
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliation, and settlement processes
• Advanced Excel skills; experience building and maintaining operational models or reports
• High attention to detail with a genuine bias toward ownership and follow-through
• A versatile, go-getter mentality — comfortable in a build-from-scratch environment and energized rather than unsettled by ambiguity

Preferred

• Exposure to credit, structured products, or alternative asset classes
• Experience with an OMS/EMS such as Enfusion or a comparable platform
• Python or SQL skills for data analysis or reconciliation automation
• Comfort using AI tools in operational workflows, analytics, and reporting
• Experience working with fund administrators, trustees, or loan servicers
