Job description

A top media and technology company needs to hire an IT Operations Engineer to join their team in New York City.

This position requires on site presence 4 days per week in New York City (Midtown).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain servers, applications, software, and cloud systems. While maintaining these systems
• Optimize system performance by monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and scheduling upgrades to maintain a secure and reliable environment.
• Secure mission critical systems by establishing and enforcing policies.
• Implement and deploy changes to production, development, stage, and test environments.
• Ensure that configuration and change management processes are documented accurately.
• Review and respond to security incidents.
• Provide 3rd level support to ServiceDesk & Field Service technicians.
• Document detailed procedures and instructions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years system administration experience with Windows operating systems.
• 4+ years system administration experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, Identity)
• 2+ years database administration experience with Microsoft SQL
• Strong understanding of networking concepts
• Experience with ITIL frameworks, change management and release management processes.
• Highly proficient with PowerShell scripting
• Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft High-Availability & SQL Clustering.
• Experience with Microsoft DFS, DNS, IIS.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks, change management and release management processes.
