Job summary

CDF - Doors, Frames & Hardware is seeking an Operations Associate to support Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Hardware, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and compliance with safety standards.

This cross-departmental role requires accuracy, efficiency, and versatility, including clerical backup for Shipping and coordination of freight and records. A high school diploma and warehouse experience are required, with forklift certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in production or warehousing, preferably Shipping or Receiving, is required.
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain in-house equipment certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple departments including Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Hardware to ensure smooth flow of materials and products.
• Cross-train in multiple areas and assist departments as needed.
• Provide backup clerical support for Shipping, coordinate freight deliveries, generate Bills of Lading, track shipments, and ensure DOT regulatory compliance.
• Gather and distribute materials based on production schedules and sales orders.
• Read sales order sheets, pull hardware from stock, and install as needed.
• Accurately cut new or duplicate keys and record all key information.
• Wear PPE and adhere to safety guidelines.

Job Summary

The Operations Associate is responsible for supporting multiple departments, including, but not limited to, Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Hardware. This versatile, cross-departmental role ensures the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cross-train in multiple areas and assist various departments as needed and determined by department supervisor.
• Provide backup clerical support for Shipping department as needed, performing tasks such as coordinating freight deliveries, generating Bills of Lading, tracking shipments, maintaining electronic records, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Gather and distribute materials based on production schedules and sales orders.
• Ensure accuracy in measuring, reading production schedules, and following instructions.
• Reading sales order sheets then pulling hardware from available stock and installing.
• Accurately cutting new or duplicate keys and recording all key information.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in production or warehousing, preferably in Shipping or Receiving, required.
• Prior forklift experience or willingness to obtain in-house equipment certification, required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or moving materials as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
