Job summary

Foreword Companies is seeking an Operations Associate to support Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and related warehouse activities. You will help ensure materials flow smoothly, maintain accuracy, and comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities include cross-training across departments, assisting with shipping tasks, pulling hardware from stock, recording key information, and complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in production or warehousing, preferably in Shipping or Receiving, is required.
• Prior forklift experience or willingness to obtain in-house certification is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train in multiple areas and assist various departments as needed.
• Provide backup clerical support for Shipping, including coordinating freight, Bills of Lading, shipment tracking, and DOT compliance.
• Gather and distribute materials based on production schedules and sales orders.
• Measure accurately, read production schedules, and follow instructions.
• Read sales order sheets, pull hardware from stock, and install.
• Cut new or duplicate keys and record all key information.
• Wear PPE and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary: The Operations Associate is responsible for supporting multiple departments, including, but not limited to, Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, and Hardware. This versatile, cross-departmental role ensures the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cross-train in multiple areas and assist various departments as needed and determined by department supervisor.
• Provide backup clerical support for Shipping department as needed, performing tasks such as coordinating freight deliveries, generating Bills of Lading, tracking shipments, maintaining electronic records, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Gather and distribute materials based on production schedules and sales orders.
• Ensure accuracy in measuring, reading production schedules, and following instructions.
• Reading sales order sheets then pulling hardware from available stock and installing.
• Accurately cutting new or duplicate keys and recording all key information.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in production or warehousing, preferably in Shipping or Receiving, required.
• Prior forklift experience or willingness to obtain in-house equipment certification, required.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or moving materials as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
