Job summary

Lyft is seeking an Operations Associate in Houston to support the Express Drive rental program end-to-end, welcoming drivers and ensuring vehicle readiness at our on-site hub.

The role reports to the Operations Lead and requires at least 1 year of in-person customer service, excellent communication, and a passion for operations. On-site with strong teamwork expectations and a driver-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the car rental process, including Express Drive customer support and check-in.

• Manage vehicle lot organization, transportation, and daily rental operations.
• Flag vehicle issues and program challenges to the Operations Lead and partners.
• Build trust and work effectively with others to achieve results and team goals.
• Uphold Lyft's high standard of service while representing the Lyft brand.

Position Summary

Lyft is looking for a motivated and organized Operations Associate to join our Houston team full‑time. In this role, you will serve drivers at our local facilities through the Express Drive Program end‑to‑end rental process and prepare them for the exciting road ahead. This position reports to the Operations Lead. Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the car rental process, including but not limited to Express Drive customer support, customer arrival/check‑in, assigning drivers to rental vehicles and processing rental returns.
• Prepare rental vehicles for Lyft drivers, including fueling and cleaning, installing telematics and license plates, conducting inspections and managing vehicle compliance documents.
• Manage vehicle lot organization, vehicle transportation, and other daily rental operations.
• Flag vehicle issues, program challenges, and bugs to the Operations Lead and internal/external partners.
• Build trust and work effectively with others to achieve results and team goals.
• Uphold Lyft's high standard of service while working with all drivers and representing the Lyft brand.
• Takes initiative and ownership to “make it happen” and seeks out opportunities to contribute to team success.

Experience & Qualifications

• At least 1year of in‑person customer service experience (retail, technical support, hospitality, or similar).
• Familiarity with the Houston area.
• Impeccable customer service and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent, clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and insurability under Lyft's policy.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position in the Houston area is $17.26–$21.58 per hour. Salary ranges are dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The range does not include potential equity, bonus, or additional benefits.

Work Location

This role is on‑site at a Lyft FlexDrive hub or office location in Houston.
