Bully Pulpit International in Washington, DC is seeking an organized Operations Assistant to support multiple executives, manage calendars, travel, expenses, and daily operations.   • Executive Administration: Provide expert level administrative assistance to high level executives, managing complex schedules and calendar appointments, travel arrangements, hours submissions and business expenses.
  • Strategic Support: Proactively taking initiative on operational tasks by aligning with executives' priorities and driving daily tasks forward.
  • Office Management: Monitor the DC office day-to-day operations and ensure administrative and business needs are met.
  • BPI Culture: Champion BPI culture and collaborate with leadership for events and operations tasks.

The Impact You Will Make

In this role, you’ll be an expertly organized and strategic professional as Operations Assistant to multiple executives at BPI in varying capacities. This position plays a crucial role in enabling BPI leadership to work efficiently and focus on strategic priorities. Responsibilities for the role go beyond task completion—you’ll serve as a key operational partner who helps proactively manage daily, weekly, and long-term calendars and logistics for executives. Imperative to the success of our thriving culture, you’ll support our internal operations team in maintaining the DC Office culture and ensuring the office is running smoothly.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with individuals across all levels of the organization, particularly with our executive leadership based in DC and existing executive support team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Culture and Operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a proactive mindset, be very detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to anticipate needs while handling a wide range of responsibilities with discretion and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Starting Salary Range: $56,000 - $75,000 (+ annual bonus)
  • Expectation to work from of our DC office at least 4 days a week
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
  • Executive Administration: Provide expert level administrative assistance, working alongside our existing operations assistants, to high level BPI executives, with all aspects of managing complex schedules & calendar appointments (both internal & external), travel arrangements, hours submissions and business expenses.
  • Strategic Support: Proactively taking initiative on operational tasks by building strong relational alignment with executives, intuitively understanding their priorities, and bringing the energy needed to drive daily tasks forward before being asked.
  • Office Management: Monitor the day to day operations needs of our DC office. Ensure administrative, office and daily business operations needs are met and running smoothly.
  • BPI Culture: Be a champion of BPI culture and collaborate with and engage with leadership in planning activities, calendars and the organization of events and operations tasks as needed.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as an executive assistant or in an internal operations role preferred.
  • Proven experience in an adjacent role, managing complex calendars preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining a commitment to deadlines and long-term goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of intuition and discretion.
  • Thrives working in a collaborative and fast paced environment while juggling multiple projects and conflicting timelines.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively address issues.
