Job summary

Sims Lifecycle Services, located in West Chicago, IL, is hiring an Operations Assistant Supervisor to support day-to-day operations, supervise and develop team members, and help meet production goals. The role reports to the Operations Supervisor and requires strong communication and organizational skills to maintain a safe, efficient workplace.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, an Associate degree preferred, and 2 years in an industrial setting with supervisory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in recycling, warehouse or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to manage workers’ compensation injuries/claims and documentation; provide reasonable accommodations.
• Provide leadership and ensure compliance with company policies and initiatives.
• Identify and assist with continuous improvement and cost-control activities.
• Supervise and develop a workforce of SRS associates and contingent workers; train successors for key roles.
• Assist in achieving production goals while maintaining quality standards.
