Job summary

Holder Construction, a national leader in the construction industry, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to join its Operations team on projects in Franklin Furnace, OH, New Albany, OH, and Conesville, OH. This is a full-time, in-person role offering a structured development path and opportunities to lead site teams.

You will help manage safety, schedule, quality, and on-site logistics while mentoring crew members and coordinating with office and field staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering-related field OR 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute contract requirements and support the project’s safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Exemplify Holder’s commitment to safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Oversee on-site workforces, coordinating daily scope, sequencing, and inspection of installed work.
• Assign responsibilities and collaborate with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.
• Manage project site logistics and organize on-site activities to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to associates, supporting professional growth and team development.
• Read and interpret construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
