Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Superintendent to join our Operations team for projects in Conesville, OH; Franklin Furnace, OH; and New Albany, OH. This full-time, in-person role requires leading on-site construction activities from mobilization to close-out.

You will drive safety, quality, and schedule objectives, oversee on-site crews, coordinate day-to-day activities, read design documents, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of commercial construction in a supervisory or field leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through close-out.
• Execute and enforce project safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Provide oversight of all on-site workforces, including daily scope coordination and inspection of installed work.
• Assign team responsibilities and maintain clear communication with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.
• Organize project site logistics and coordinate day-to-day on-site activities to optimize workflow, productivity, and sequencing.
• Read and interpret construction design documents and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting Holder’s culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain project momentum and deliver successful results.

About The Role

We are looking for a Superintendent to join our Operations team on our projects in Conesville, OH. Franklin Furnace, OH. New Albany, OH. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through close-out, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and Holder’s standards.


• Execute and enforce project safety, quality, and schedule objectives, exemplifying Holder’s commitment to a zero-accident culture.


• Provide oversight of all on-site workforces, including daily scope coordination and inspection of installed work.


• Assign team responsibilities and maintain clear communication with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.


• Organize project site logistics and coordinate day-to-day on-site activities to optimize workflow, productivity, and sequencing.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5–10 years of commercial construction experience in a supervisory or field leadership role.


• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.


• Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and risk management strategies.


• Ability to relocate to projects as needed.
