Job summary

Nisga'a Tek, LLC is seeking an Ops Assistant - Stan/Eval (19 FS) to support the PACAF Aviation Squadron Administrative Support for the US Air Force. The role focuses on EFB program management, flight publications, and scheduling administration.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain EFB procedures, systems and databases IAW AFIs governing EFB usage.
  • Update, inventory, assign, and maintain EFB systems as an OMD Program Manager.
  • Identify, address, and elevate EFB requirements to leadership and the MAJCOM EFB Program Manager.
  • Attend monthly ACC PM meetings and brief updates to the Chief of Stan/Eval.
  • Serve as Wing EFB system administrator and MDM administrator as needed.
  • Assist with providing aircrews current electronic flight publications and guidance.
  • Work with unit officers to provide aircrew with current electronic flight publications on BOX, Good Reader, & foreflight.
  • Provide MAJCOM EFB Program Manager with feedback on assessments and development of EFB solutions.
  • Assist with establishing an EFB Program Manager organizational email box.
  • Assist enforcement of standardization and evaluation policy for EFB.
  • Work with unit RAs and vendors to purchase annual tech refresh and establish baseline configurations.
  • Generate, publish, and track FCIFs/SIIs; use aviation ops knowledge for implementation.
  • Update and generate aircrew evaluations; brief weekly status updates.
  • Audit files across systems to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Generate AF Form 1522s and 4324s to update aircrew qualifications.

Summary

The Ops Assistant - Stan/Eval (19 FS) will support the PACAF Aviation Squadron Administrative Support for the US Air Force.

Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain FLIP/EFB procedures, systems and databases IAW prevailing AFIs governing EFB usage (ex. ACCI 11-270).
  • Update, inventory, assign, and maintain EFB systems as an OMD Program Manager.
  • Identify, address, and elevate, as necessary, EFB requirements and concerns to leadership and the MAJCOM EFB Program Manager.
  • Attend monthly ACC PM meetings, address unit concerns, and brief newly established updates to the Chief of Stan/Eval for unit implementation.
  • Serve as the Wing EFB system administrator, ensuring devices are configured, issued, tracked, updated, and maintained as required by this instruction. May also serve as the Wing EFB Mobile Device Management (MDM) administrator.
  • Assist the Technical Order Distribution Officers (TODO) to provide aircrews with current electronic flight publications and guidance on approved methods to keep all required publications up to date on the EFB in accordance with this instruction.
  • Work with unit CCV/SELO officers to provide aircrew with current electronic flight publications using approved methods to keep all required publications up to date on BOX, Good Reader, & foreflight accounts.
  • Provide the MAJCOM EFB Program Manager with feedback on operational assessments and development of EFB solutions.
  • Assist with establishing an EFB Program Manager organizational email box.
  • Assist enforcement of standardization and evaluation policy applicable to the EFB program, including currency of required flight publications.
  • Work with unit RA's, 15/154 OG, & vendors to purchase annual tech refresh and establish ACC baseline configuration standards on newly procured devices.
  • Generate, publish, and track FCIF's/SII's. Use aviation operations knowledge to assist in implementation.
  • Update, track, & generate aircrew evaluations (AF Form 8/3862/942). Brief weekly to Squadron leadership status updates and scheduling concerns regarding completion timelines, advise leadership on Air Force guidance concerning waivers and requalification requirements.
  • Audit files across multiple systems (PEX/ARTIMS/Purebred/DCAST) to ensure accurate compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Generate AF Form 1522's and 4324's to update aircrew qualifications.
  • Memorize and implement AFI 11-202v2, MDS Vol 1-3, CAF Syllabus, WG Program Guides, AFMAN 11-421, 11-418, & many more. Acting as a Unit SME on Air Force guidance as it concerns to operations & inspections.
  • Daily duty involves: Reviewing which pilots have evaluations due within the next 30 days. Updating qualification records after completing flights. Preparing a readiness briefing for the squadron commander. Auditing Stan/Eval files to ensure they're ready for inspection. Perform other duties as needed.
Secondary Key Responsibilities
  • Squadron Assessment Program Manager (SAPM/USAP) Maintain IGEMS & MICT checklist, assign POC's and validate unit checklists annually. Coordinate with PACAF IG on inspection requirements and schedule.
  • Represent squadron leadership to instillation leadership (General Officers/O-7O-10) regularly to communicate and address operations data.
Training
  • Shall keep track when crew members will be on leave, temporary duty, have scheduled medical appointments or other scheduling commitments.
  • Shall track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling as directed by the operations officer.
  • Shall assist the DO in building the unit Annual Flying Hour Program.
  • Shall coordinate with training officer to review and update student/permanent party records, folders and grade books per the applicable AFIs: AFI 11- 202V2 and AFI 11-2MDS-V2 as well as associated MAJCOM/Installation supplements, and locally developed guidance.
  • Shall notify crew members, scheduling, and unit leadership of upcoming and overdue testing, evaluation, and training requirements via e-mail, telephone or in person.
  • Shall perform testing administrator duties/function for the unit.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of those aircrews entering into the first month of evaluation eligibility period.
Flight Scheduling
  • Shall build long-and short-range flight schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions. Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Contractor will de-conflict crewmember schedules and work with flight leadership to ensure crews are available to meet assigned sortie taskings.
  • Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor (or equivalent) and flight responsible for the shift that is not fully manned.
  • Shall obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from MX and schedule crewmembers for training, exercises, simulators, and operations, as required.
  • Shall publish/post scheduling data for unit long-/short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on PEX/GTIMS/GDSS II, or other computer database systems.
  • Shall determine flight, ground, and simulator schedule requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency, and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, and daily equipment/training range availability.
  • Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and systems. Strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with crew members and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions quickly, especially in time-sensitive situations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 -2 years of related experience
  • Must have a Secret clearance
  • US citizen
  • Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possesses a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience working with PEX/GTIMS or similar proprietary scheduling program is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a Flying Squadron/Group/Wing Stan/Eval office is highly desirable.
Pay and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $48.76.
