Job summary

Obsolete Site at Fort Irwin is seeking a hands-on restaurant supervisor to oversee daily operations and supervise front and back-of-house staff.

You will monitor peak hours, ensure adherence to recipes and procedures, manage staff, and supervise cash handling during shifts to maintain service standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in fast-paced food and beverage establishment or current MWR Texas Roadhouse team member.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

Duties

• Performs “Hands-on” supervision of the restaurant. This includes but is not limited to occasional temporary non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking and other duties.
• Monitors operations to ensure smooth running of the business operation during peak business hours to set the pace in Front and Back of the House. Adherence to established schedules of activities and priorities.
• Assures the presence of personnel to carry out the services offered; provides information concerning services, prices, dress codes, standards of behavior, and special events. Ensures staff is following established recipes and procedures.
• Assumes responsibility for cash during shift including cash collected from waiter’s guest checks. Conducts inventory at beginning and/or end of shift.
• Provides administrative supervision to all employees, authorize employees to clock in and out; reports to functional supervisors on employee performance.

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Work requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Successful completion of either front of the House or Back of the House Franchisor specified training. Ability to work weekends and evenings as scheduled.
• A food handler’s certificate is required.
