Responsibilities include assisting with all operational tasks delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations, and supporting hiring, training, and development of store associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Manage seasonal areas and signage.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with weekly scheduling and supplies management.
• Help optimize merchandising and checkout areas for sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including special programs.
• Assist with Drive Item program management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
