Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
  • Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers and staff.
  • Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
  • When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly associates.
  • Process corporate directives and store communications.
  • Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, following policies.
  • Help ensure proper staffing and sales effectiveness daily.
  • Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices.
  • Coordinate store signage and merchandising.
  • Manage store supplies and expenses.
  • Maintain checkout area and store displays to maximize sales.
  • Refill coolers and displays daily.
  • Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Prior retail and management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
