Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery of the stockroom and sales floor.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and related communications, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays and fixtures.
13. Manage store supplies, expenses, and merchandising to maximize sales.
14. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, including promotional items.
15. Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store operations.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
