Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, maintained to company standards.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including inventory and compliance procedures.
• Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, following company policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling practices.
• Coordinate signage and promotional displays in the store.
• Manage seasonal areas and maintain impulse sales displays.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and ensure replenishment of promotional items daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
