Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
  • Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery.
  • When the Store Manager is not present, have supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
  • Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
  • Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following company policies.
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
  • Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
  • Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays to maximize sales.
  • Assist with merchandise management and store supplies.
  • Maintain the checkout area for impulse sales and ensure coolers and displays are replenished daily.
  • Assist with weekly schedule creation and expense control.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Prefer prior retail and management experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
