Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery of the stockroom and sales floor.
• When the Store Manager is not on the premises, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities, ensuring cash handling practices are followed.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays and areas.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain the checkout area and store-front displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
