Responsibilities include assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also, assist with hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling guidelines are followed.
12. Manage promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
13. Coordinate signage used in the store.
14. Handle damaged merchandise daily.
15. Assist in creating weekly schedules.
16. Manage store supplies and expenses.
17. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area for impulse sales.
18. Refill coolers and store displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

1. Prefer prior retail and management experience.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
