Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not on the premises, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and key survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices and guidelines are followed.
• Enhance promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Manage seasonal sales areas and coordinate signage.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules.
• Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and storefront displays daily, including balloon programs, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
