Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Support sales effectiveness on the sales floor and manage cashiering activities according to cash handling practices.
12. Manage store displays, signage, and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
13. Coordinate merchandise receipt, return, and damage processing.
14. Assist in creating weekly staff schedules.
15. Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
16. Maintain checkout area and store displays to promote impulse sales.
17. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
