Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, in company-standard condition, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to adhere to cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays and areas to maximize sales.
• Manage receipt and return of damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules.
• Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area for impulse sales.
• Ensure coolers and storefront displays are replenished daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
