Responsibilities include assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also, assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness of the sales floor daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices are followed.
12. Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas, coordinate signage, and manage store supplies and expenses.
13. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area to maximize sales.
14. Ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily.
15. Assist with creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

1. Prefer prior retail and management experience.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
