Responsibilities

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assist with hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Perform all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Handle opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications related to activities and compliance.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise and process damaged merchandise daily.
• Follow VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices are followed.
• Manage promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
• Coordinate signage and manage store supplies and expense control.
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and store-front displays daily, including programs like balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules.
• Perform other related duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
