Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery of stockroom and sales floor.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal display areas.
13. Process damaged merchandise daily.
14. Assist with creating weekly staff schedules.
15. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
16. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
17. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
