Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and related communications delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of merchandise, following company policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Assist with managing store supplies and controlling expenses.
• Maintain checkout areas to promote impulse sales.
• Refill store displays daily, including coolers and program racks.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
