Responsibilities:

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Help with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Perform all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and store-front displays daily.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
