Responsibilities:
- Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
- Help with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
- Perform all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
- Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
- When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
- Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
- Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
- Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
- Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
- Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays for promotional effectiveness.
- Handle damaged merchandise daily.
- Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
- Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
- Refill coolers and store-front displays daily.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferred prior retail and management experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
