Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, assume supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and related store communications.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow all cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Coordinate signage and displays for promotional effectiveness.
14. Manage seasonal store areas.
15. Assist with creating weekly schedules.
16. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
17. Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
18. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
