Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates
• Process all directives from corporate, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and survey information
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Optimize promotional displays and store signage
• Manage seasonal areas for sales effectiveness
• Coordinate signage used in the store
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling
• Help manage store supplies and control expenses
• Maintain checkout area and merchandise to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and display racks daily (e.g., balloons, sunglasses, batteries)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment
