Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives and store communications as delegated by the Store Manager
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Manage promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales
• Coordinate signage in the store
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling
• Manage store supplies and control expenses
• Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, including promotional items

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
