Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and store communications related to activities, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and key survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices and guidelines are followed.
12. Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
13. Manage seasonal store areas and merchandise presentation.
14. Process damaged merchandise daily.
15. Assist with weekly scheduling and store supplies management.
16. Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
17. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
